At Heartland Animal Clinic, we offer home away from home care.
Whether you need to go out of town for the weekend, or your
planning a family vacation, your pets will be in good hands at
Heartland Animal Clinic. We strive to provide a very pleasant
atmosphere where your pets will feel as close to home as possible
while you are away. Our loving staff cares for each pet as if they were
our own.
All dogs must be current Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella (Kennel
Cough) vaccines and have a current a fecal that was done within a
year from the boarding date. All cats must be current on Rabies,
Feline Distemper or Felovax LVK IV vaccines and have a current fecal
done within a year from the boarding date. If they have received
these at another clinic, please bring copies or have the name and
number of the clinic so that we can call to get their vaccine history. If
your dog or cat is not current, all vaccines will be given upon arrival.
This is for the protection of our staff, other pets and for the
protection of your pet as well.
Here at Heartland we also provide boarding for any of your exotic
animals, such as rabbits, ferrets, rats, guinea pigs, birds, turtles,
hamsters, and hedgehogs. We provide hay and pellets for any exotic,
but please bring any fresh greens or fruit that your pet may need.
When boarding your bird, please make sure that you bring a portable
cage for your bird to stay in.
Each canine guest will receive his/her own individual suite area. Our
runs offer enough room to allow two family dogs to share the same
space if preferred. Your dog will be taken outside individually twice a
day for a fresh breath of air and to play. Your dog will NEVER be left
outside unsupervised. Our animal care assistants carefully monitor
your pet's well-being, and if your pet is showing any signs of illness or
unusual behavior they will notify the doctor immediately. If there is
any concern with your pet the doctor will provide any medical
treatment necessary.
Our Feline guests can enjoy our "Bed and Breakfast" suites, which is
located in a separate room totally away from all dogs.
If your pet is on any "special diet" please make sure that you bring
your pets food. If no food is brought, we will feed your pet Purina EN,
which is gastrointestinal bland diet.
If your dog stays with us 3 or more nights, they will receive a FREE
bath before they go home!!
When you bring your pet to stay with us we prefer that you leave
these items at home: toys, beds, blankets and bowls. We provide all of
these things while your pet is staying with us, and we don't want any
of your goodies to get lost or misplaced.
Please feel free to drop off or pick up you pet during our normal
business hours of M-F 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and on Saturday from 8 am
to 12:30 pm.
