A Day at the Spa
Here at Heartland Animal Clinic we have a wonderful groomer, Jenny Pearson.
She works on an appointment basis. In order for her to spend quality time with
your pet and not rush the process, she only grooms an average of 5 to 6 pets per
day. This insures that your furry friend will leave here with a high quality haircut
that he/she deserves! She is able to groom a range of animals from dogs to cats,
and even rabbits that are in need of a little tidying up. Some of the services that
are included in Grooming by Jenny are:
Nail Trims

Cleaning ears/plucking ear hair

Anal Expression, by request only

Medicated Shampoo (i.e flea bath or allergy bath)

All of our grooms are dropped off between 7:30 to 8:30 am in the morning and are ready to go home early in the afternoon. All dogs are required to be current on

Rabies
, Distemper, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccines, in order to be
dropped off for grooming. All cats must be current on
Rabies, FVRCP, or FeLv
vaccines, in order to be dropped off for grooming.  If they are current with these
vaccinations with another clinic, please bring copies for our records. If these
vaccines are not current, they will be given upon arrival. It's important to keep
your pet and all the other pets in our salon healthy!!
                                 SHEDLESS TREATMENT!!

Do you have a dog or cat that sheds excessively? Do you wish there was a way to decrease the amount of hair
throughout your home, on your clothes, and in your cars? We have the solution for you! A SHEDLESS TREATMENT can
improve the appearance of your pet and your home! Our groomer uses a special anti-shedding treatment which
will dramatically reduce the mess and clean up of unwanted pet hair. The secret to the Shedless Treatment is to
use a special shampoo and conditioner combined with a variety of tools designed to remove the dead hair that is
trapped in the undercoat of your pet. The Furminator tool has an unique blade which removes between 60-80% of
the dead hair on your pet. The Furminator treatment can reduce the shedding of your pet for approximately 4-6
weeks. The Shedless Treatment is most effective when it is repeated every 4-6 weeks. This process involves the
following steps:
We start with a massaging bath that separates your pet's old coat from the new and stimulates
          your pet's hair follicles.
Then we apply the Furminator deShedding solution, an all natural  solution specially formulated to help
remove the loose hair.
Next we use a high velocity dryer to separate and eliminate the excess coat and loose hair.
The final step is to use the Furminator tool all over your pets body to remove any remaining loose hair.
Please call today to schedule an appointment for a Shedless Treatment!!
Please note that this treatment does NOT totally prevent your dog or cat from shedding, but instead greatly reduces the amount of hair that is being shed throughout your home.
